  • Click “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)and select the “properties.”
  • Select the following DNS server addresses and insert these server addresses.

  • Preferred DNS Server: 208.67.222.222
  • Alternate DNS Server: 208.67.220.220
  • At last, click ok.

7. Troubleshoot the router

You can follow this method in order to resolve the issue of DNS server not responding on your Windows 7/8/10. If you are using a router to use the internet, then you should unplug your computer’s Ethernet cable from it and connect it directly to the Ethernet port of the modem. Then try to load a webpage, if you are successful then the problem is in the router and reconnect the router to the modem. 8. Run windows in safe mode
